Part of the fun of being part of a tightly knit community is wearing many hats, so when it became obvious that the church my wife and I are involved with needed a website, I lept to the task. We’re a small group (somewhere between 50-80 people most Sundays) but due in large part to the equality of the internet that didn’t need to limit the things we can offer online. Some of the features include:
- A fully functioning audio podcast published weekly of our sermons on iTunes, as well as via unobtrusive flash players on the site
- A constantly updated calendar of our weekly meetings, as well as one of events
- A blog for the pastors to post their thoughts that is published both to an
rss feed, as well as the front page of the site
The best thing about the Gospel Tabernacle Website? The Pastors and other leaders of the church can edit 95% of the information without consulting me! This is a huge win (provided by Wordpress) because it both enables the leaders of the church, while allowing me to go about building websites for others.
